Social Media Leads to Positive Changes | 10 May 2016


In March 2016, Momavlis Taoba Program announced a social media contest -"Social media for positive changes”. Rusudan Zedginidze, a civics club student of Village Zveli public school was one of the successful participants of the contest. She prepared a project on protection of the environment and created a Facebook page titled "My Tidy Country Begins with Me".

Students of Tbilisi public school #215 decided to rehabilitate the yard of their school, which was in a very bad condition. They decided to rehabilitate the yard and equip it as outdoor sports space.

McLain Association for Children (MAC) and PH International: New Partnership Supporting Inclusive Communities in Georgia | 31 Mar 2016


2014-2017, under the USAID funded and PH administered civic education project “Momavlis Taoba”, up to 180 small grants will be funded with the total amount of $ 81,000 to support locally led student and school civic initiatives. Initiatives.GE was also used by Micro Finance Organization “Crystal” as part of their corporate social responsibility strategy supporting student and school led initiatives in specially selected regions of Georgia.

Students Explore the History | 5 Mar 2016


Students of Kaspi Gymnasium decided to explore the history of their town. During the project implementation, they collected information about the history of Kaspi and its inhabitants. They found out that during the Soviet times 170 persons from Kaspi were “repressed”.

Students Promote Cultural Heritage of their Village | 4 Mar 2016


Village Sazano public school students in Terjola Municipality decided to promote the history and   monuments of the village. They created a map of the village, prepared a bilingual guide leaflet and arranged an information corner at the school, where the collected data and photos were presented. Students also prepared a video about the project implementation and shared it through Facebook.
