Mather Language Day was marked by civics club members of Tbilisi public schools #155 and #107. Students organized the march from Tbilisi Central Avenue “Rustaveli” up to the Mother Language monument. The slogan of the event was "No misuse of Georgian words”. During the action, students distributed information to the citizens with the examples of the correct Georgian equivalents of misused words in language.

Ethnic Armenian students of village Khulgumo public school in Akhalkalaki municipality also marked the Mother Language Day. They prepared wall newspaper featuring history and roots of Georgian Language.
