Georgia | Momavlis Taoba - Civic Education Program | 4 Mar 2016

Village Sazano public school students in Terjola Municipality decided to promote the history and   monuments of the village. They created a map of the village, prepared a bilingual guide leaflet and arranged an information corner at the school, where the collected data and photos were presented. Students also prepared a video about the project implementation and shared it through Facebook.

In the process of project implementation, students applied to Terjola municipality for the rehabilitation of the roads leading to the historical monuments and asked to place banners. Municipality officials cooperated with students and banners with short bilingual information were placed in the village, local authorities decided to organize placement of banners in other historical places of the municipality as well.  They mentioned that the road rehabilitation works are planned during the current year.

The mini-grant project with participation of students was supported by USAID-funded Momavlis Taoba Project, which is implemented by PH International.
