Participants receive specific skills and ideas necessary to expand professional knowledge and expertise. These exchange-based programs enable delegates to experience US based program and professional practice models in action in communities across the United States. Program themes have included economic development, community policing, environmental protection, youth advocacy, women’s leadership, arts and culture, and more. Activities include site visits, hands-on practice, job shadowing, and collaborative exchange. Host family stays round out these programs, providing a genuine US experience, and fostering a mutual sharing of perspectives and experiences.
