A project by school civics club in the village Chibati in Guria aims to establish greenhouse near the school. Students gained support from administration of the school, which allocated the building that was rehabilitated by the support of the local Government.

In January ACETT program hosted end of the semester events in all 11 regions of Georgia. The events featured presentations of successful initiatives by school civics clubs and civics teachers. Students, teachers, school administration officials and local government representatives took part in the events, which were organized by partner NGOs of the ACETT program

GE-CALLS-funded project For Healthy Future works actively in Telavi, Kakheti Region.
In the framework of the project a media-lab was founded and equipped, so that the project participants can learn basics of video shooting, editing, directing and script-writing and practice acquired knowledge.
Project envisages production of 5 short video-films made by project participants on various subjects.

Representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Interior, National Council for Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency and US Embassy in Skopje and INL Representative gathered today on the presentation of the second cycle of the Legal Socialization Program. Ms. Mertia Maksuti, Country Director of the PH International in Macedonia and Ms. Biljana Nastovska,Program Specialist presented the objectives of the upcoming program activities and overview of the achievements of the last year program .The program extension will target Skopje (Municipalities of Aerodrom, Cair and Gjorce Petrov), Gostivar and Stip.

Civics club students from Telavi public school #5 found out that their peers in another local school (#6 school in Telavi, which is not the partner school of ACETT program) had no running water and sewerage system at school, that was causing sanitation problems in the building.

After the successful start of Legal Culture lessons in 20 schools of 4 Georgian regions, on January 31, GE CALLS invited the school principles for the training in “Social Justice and Discipline at School”

The goal of the training was to provide recommendations that will assist the schools and their disciplinary boards in the process of discussions or decision making over different disciplinary cases.

Members of the youth club founded in the framework of GE CALLS Community Initiatives Component visited MIA Police Academy.
The visit was organized in consideration of high interest from students.
The students visited teaching rooms, shooting ranges, gyms. They were hosted by Pridon Diasamidze, Deputy Rector of the Academy.

Professionals from AFS-USA, Champlain College, and PH International will lead training sessions for the 2014 Youth TechCamp that focus on providing students with training, leadership, and advanced social media for social change skills.

School-based civics clubs will take part in a new project of the Georgian National Film Center (GNFC) titled “Film in the School”.
