On March 15, by joint effort of Legal Clubs a peaceful demonstration was organized. Starting at Samtredia Public School #11, demonstration moved to Samtredia Central Park.
On March 3, Access program students in Zugdidi, devoted an Enrichment Activity to Mother’s Day celebration. The session was aimed to enrich awareness of an American culture among participants and boos their confidence in expressing themselves in writing as well as orally
-On March 2 in Zhytomyr, the first module of the project "New Media in Action" took place. The event was possible also thanks to the IDEA Project Powered by Microsoft YouthSpark. In participations were 37 journalists of Zhytomyr Oblast who received both theoretical and practical knowledge about using of "new media" in jourlalist work. They also learned about differences in the preparation of materials for traditional and Internet media, received practical guidance on how to make online news readable and learned to work with cloud technologies.
On March 1, 2013, a presentation of IDEA Project Powered by Microsoft YouthSpark took place during TechCamp Kyiv 2.0 seminar. The seminar took place at Microsoft Ukraine office, and it gathered about 60 NGO and IT experts (more detail at http://techcampkyiv.org/)
Almost 67% job vacancies require computer skills. On January 29, 2013 Microsoft Ukraine organized a round table in Kyiv dedicated to youth unemployment and to announce the launch of its new initiative - Microsoft YouthSpark in Ukraine. During the round-table a new Microsoft funded project “IDEA Powered by Microsoft YouthSpark” implemented by PH International in Ukraine was announced.
Tbilisi schools civics clubs students organized charity action “Active Citizenship - let's help each other” to support 25 children with leukemia. Students used social media to share information about the action and mobilized parents, teachers and school administration to raise funds
ELCE Program participating teachers from Telavi (Maka Dakishvili, Natalia Datishvili, Marie Kurashvili, Natalia Bondarenko, Anna Giorganashvili and Tamar Natsvlishvili) took part in the ETAG Regional Conferences for English teachers in Rustavi and Akhaltsikhe on May 17 and May 27 to conduct presentations on ELCE Program civics materials of Professional and Life Choices; Diversity and Multiculturalism; and Volunteerism and Public Participation
