New Projects Funded via Second Round of GE CALLS Grants Program

Three projects were funded as a result of second RFP by GE CALLS. This time new youth-targeted projects will be implemented in Ozurgeti, Zugdidi and Poti. Following NGOs were named as winners: Ozurgeti – Guria Youth Resource-Center with project named Films for Dialogue. The project includes foundation of film-studio, training of staff member and project participants to acquire respective skills, organizing round-tables with participation of community members in order to reveal important issues and topics, using those topics for making a short film and documentaries. Poti – Poti Library Union with project Youth Arts Club. The project envisages foundation of several workshops at the premises of Library, namely film workshop, photography workshop, book restoration workshop and theater club. Zugdidi – Association of Young Psychologists and Doctors Xenon with project New Generation for Better Future. Project focuses on activation of teenagers’ psycho-social potential and supporting their civic engagement via Photo Voice and Forum Theater methods. Currently GE CALLS-funded youth-targeted projects are being implemented in 6 cities throughout the country.
