In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, students and teachers from the ELCE participant Schools of Zugdidi Public School #9, Tsalenjikha Public School #1, Abkhazeti Public School # 12, Kvemokvaloni Public School and Senaki Public School #1 organized the activities of trash pickup, planting trees and a community awareness campaign by making presentations about how to help take care of environment. Over 250 students in five different locations of Samegrelo participated in the Earth Day celebration activities.

During the Youth TechCamp students will combine the information and skills developed during the online program with new information from Youth TechCamp sessions to create individualized Strategic Action Plans (SAPs) for how they will teach others how to use social media for social change upon returning home.
Students will gain valuable leadership, training, public speaking and presentation skills while learning about advanced social media tools and platforms. These skills and tools will help them as they implement their SAPs during the follow-on component of GNML.
> MoreThis month 54 students from around the world will receive a Certificate of Completion from PH International and the U.S. Department of State in recognition of their hard work and dedication to the GNML Online program. Students who earned a certificate participated in and successfully completed all 10 GNML Online sessions. Over 6 months, students created social media for social change campaigns that used platforms such as Twitter, Blogger, Facebook and YouTube to advocate for social change in their local communities.
> More-On April 17, IDEA-Rivne Center conducted a training for youth on the topic "What you need to know so not be become a victim of human trafficking". 26 students of the Economy, Humanities and Engineering College in Rivne learned aboгt risks of illegal employment abroad and in Ukraine. Many young people plan for search for well-paid jobs abroad after the graduation from the college. However when asked "Do you know well laws, languages and customs of other countries?" almost everyone at the training said "No". The participants neither knew enough about Ukraine's labor law. During the training, the participants learned the difference about a legal and illegal employment, and about the main rules of a safe travel abroad for employment. They also learned what a work contract is, how the law protects employees’ rights, and which guarantees are provided for graduates, if a young person cannot find a job immediately after the graduation.

> MoreOn April 16, 2013, IDEA-Konotop Center conducted a training «Entrepreneurship and Small Business» for unemployed people, including youth in Konotop. During the seminar, trainees received professional consultations on entrepreneurship planning issues, taxation system, and business registering procerutes. The trainers of the seminar applied interactive methods of learning and individual approach to each participant. They focused on resolving practical issues, and it was helpful for increasing the personal motivation of the participants for starting their own business.

> MoreOn March 21, 2913, the IDEA Center in Ivano-Frankivsk, jointly with the City Employment Center, conducted a seminar on job search via Internet. The seminar was conducted within the IDEA Project Powered by YouthSpark. The seminar trainees focused aslo at development resume writing/posting and job interview skills. As a result, many of the seminar participants decised to improve their e-knowledge after the seminar.
