Civic Students Supporting Children with Special Needs

Georgia | Momavlis Taoba - Civic Education Program | 6 Jul 2016

Beneficiaries of day center for the children with special needs of Village Ustera received a parcel with a title: “Presents from Village Utsera Public School Civics Students”. Parcel included handmade dolls and puppets made by civics students for the day center beneficiaries.

Through the support provided by the civics teacher of Village Utsera public school and MT program’s partner NGO in Racha region, civic students were able to  receive all relevant materials and supplies for creating dolls, as well as had an opportunity to acquire new skills enabling them to make puppets and dolls themselves.

“We sent our first handmade dolls to children with special needs. We will continue to create puppets in the future too, we have a lot of plans”- said Nino Metreveli, a member of the Civic Club of the Village Utsera public school.

Initiative was supported by the USAID-funded Momavlis Taoba Project, which is implemented by PH International.
