Civics Teachers’ Roundtable on Professional Development and Career Advancement
On November 1, in Akhaltsikhe, Civics Teachers Forum (CETF) organized a regional Roundtable for civics teachers from Samtskhe-Javakheti region to discuss “Teacher Induction, Professional Development and Career Advancement Scheme". The Roundtable was facilitated by a professor from Tbilisi State University.
‘Today, at the meeting, a new scheme was introduced to the teachers. The scheme features: how many credit points teachers have to gain to get a status of a practicing teacher; how to obtain statuses of practicing, junior or leading teachers. The teachers have also received information about the salary policy. The list of additional activities, to be done to collect necessary credit points, have been also introduced to the teachers”-said Nino Nadiradze, CETF coordinator in Samtskje-Javakheti region.
The Roundtable was organized in the framework of USAID-funded Momavlis Taoba Project, which is implemented by PH International.
