The IDEA Center in Tokmak held a training "Hashtag" - a tool to find information easy. Young people who attended the event were able to find out what "hashtag" means and what it is used for. A trainer of IDEA Training Center in Tokmak provided substantial information to young people on "hashtag", its types and particularities of using it in various social networks. The participants noted that much of this information was new for them.
On June 10, 2016, a training of coding took place at the Internet Center of the Children's Library in Tokmak. All children who come to the training love to play, but none of them have ever thought about how easy it would be to learn to program. During the event, students were introduced to the very concept of programming and creating games in KODU GAME LAB. The children were very interested in the opportunity to create their own games and asked for new events on creating training games in KODU GAME LAB.
On May 26, Natalia Znaydyuk, a trainer of Rivne’s IDEA Training Center, held a training sessions on opportunities to work with software for students of the specialty "Maintenance of Computer Systems and Networks" at Rivne Economic, Humanitarian and Engineering College. Students learned about the possibilities of the Kodu visual design tools. In particular, they considered the work with landscapes while using a timer and the possibility of counting points. Students were able to fully implement all tasks and were very excited to learn about Kodu.
On May 30, students of the Ivano-Frankivsk College named after Hranat who participated at a training on coding learned about simple coding examples in the Java programing language. This language is similar to C ++, but has some differences. ‘The college students study C ++ as the core programing language, so the study of simple examples of the use of Java is very relevant and interesting to students. It is also a motivation for them to continue their studies in the summer on their own’ - says Oleksiy Buchenko, trainer of the local IDEA Center.
On May 30, 2016, trainers of NGO Parostok (Sprout) in Vinnitsa conducted a training "Steps to Successful Employment" for 15 students of the Vinnytya National Medical Universitynamed after Mykola Pirogov. The training was held within the IDEA Project Powered by Microsoft YouthSpark. During the training, students discussed such issues as ways of finding work, the use of new technologies the Internet in search of work, types of resumes, resume and cover letter writing, communication with the employer during the interview, and the self-presentation skills.
On 18 May 2016, Oksana Salivonchyk, a trainer Rivne IDEA Educational Center and the IDEA Project Powered by Microsoft YouthSpark, jointly with specialists of the Rivne Oblast Center of social services for family, children and youth, held classes for students of Mizotske Specialized Boarding School of I-II Levels of Rivne Oblast Council. During the training, students learned about bulling and cyber-bulling, their manifestations and possible ways out of difficult situations. Every second school student, at least once, faced with situations of bulling or cyber-bulling, but never really thought about what suffers from or commits the violence.
On May 16, 2016, Coordinator of the IDEA Training Center held a training called ‘Interesting Coding’ for students of the 9th grade of the School №16 at Lutsk. During the training, students learned how to code while using Microsoft materials. Also, the students learned about the opportunities to study programming for free on the basis of the Prometheus platform. The students considered this training very useful and interesting. Most of the students have a good potential and capacity for programming, so the results of the training were provided to their tutor who, in turn, plans to discuss these recommendations with parents of the students for their future professional orientation.
On March 24, trainer of IDEA Center of Rivne-based NGO “Chayka” (Sea Gull) Natalia Znaydyuk held a training session on possibilities of work with coding software for students Rivne Economic-humanitarian and engineering college. During the training, students got acquainted with the possibilities of the Kodu visual design. In particular, they discussed its interface, the possibility of creating and configuring game objects, work with landscapes, using a timer, and the possibility of counting points. Students have expressed interest to the software presented and successfully implement all training tasks.
Resume writing - is an important thing! On March 16, 2016, students of Rivne Vocational Lyceum had a chance to learn it. During the training, students received information about how to write a good and effective resume, and use all possible ways of searching for a job. The training was held by Oksana Salivonchyk, a trainer of IDEA Center of Rivne-based NGO Center for Public Initiatives ‘Chaika’ and the IDEA Project Powered by Microsoft YouthSpark.
In 2016, the IDEA Center of the NGO "Live Heart" which works in Khmelnytsky held a series of trainings on the topic "Organization of document flow based on "cloud" technologies of Microsoft, with using possibilities of joint work in Microsoft Office”. On February 29, one of these training brought together 18 participants - students of social work in Khmelnytsky National University. This knowledge will help them not only to better learn Microsoft applications, but also a more efficiently use their time while working together on various documents, because this is one of the great advantages of Microsoft "cloud" technologies.
