Street walk action “No to Violence” was organized by school based civics club students in city Batumi. Before the start of the street walk, students by minute of silence remembered their friend and civics club member Mariam Kochalidze who became a victim of violence in the summer of 2013 in Batumi sea cost. About 500 students and civics teachers took part in the event which was supported and joined by the representatives of local Center for Civic Engagement, Public Defender’s Office, Young Lowers Association, Center for International Education and local media representatives. Event took place in the framework of the Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training Program (ACETT), which is implemented by PH International and its partners in Georgia.
