Production of Documentary Films “We Are Talking About Civics Education” Started

On July 30 – August 2, 2012, USAID supported Multimedia Education Center hosted trainings in the documentary film production. Training were attended by 10 student participants, authors of the best documentary film scenarios “We Are Talking About Civics Education” selected from the nationwide documentary film scenario competition, conducted as part of the USAID funded and PH International implemented Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training (ACETT) Program. Trainings were facilitated by professors of Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA). Participants of the training learnt techniques on how to create documentary films as an advocacy tool and how to spread them through different social media platforms. In order to make high quality documentary films, each training participant will be supported from the teams of graduate students of GIPA’s Caucasus School of Journalism and Media Management, visiting trainings participants in their respective communities and assisting them in the documentary film production process.
