The support provided by project United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and PH International in the field of development of civic education is valuable, as well as all the participating organizations who are involved in this process. Experience gained through the civic engagement helped me on my way as a citizen, as well on my way to carrier as a journalist of TV program “"Hashtag" on TV & Radio company public broadcaster Adjara. For the formation of active citizen, it is important to provide more information for students about their rights. It is necessary that the citizen should not be distant from the daily life and should be keeping in mind that government is accountable to its citizens.

School based civics club students of village Kistauri public school in Akhmeta municipality improved road safety in the village.

The school is located at the entrance to the village at the main road. There was no speed bump or a suitable road sign in the front of the school. The heavy traffic made challenges for the school community.

"The Patrol Police helped us to solve the problem. They temporarily closed the main road. School administration and community members helped to create the speed bump in front of the school. As a result, the students’ initiative has significantly improved the road safety for the village population," - said civics club leader Mariam Shatirishvili.

Students of Tbilisi public school # 213 conducted the survey to determine road and car accidents nearby the school and number of victims affected by those incidents. Survey results showed that there are no road signs to the school territory and that drivers and pedestrians are often violating the traffic rules.

The students of the village Baydari public school in Marneuli municipality decided to raise the awareness of population on genetically modified and unhealthy foods in the framework of a small grant project.
The students prepared a questionnaire, conducted a survey, which showed that consumption of unhealthy products in the school is practiced more frequently than at home. To address this problem, students planned different activities as part of the campaign “We Say No to Unhealthy Food”.
