Irma Gordeladze is a civic education teacher at Baileti Village Public School. She teaches students what is active citizenship and how to solve community and school problems. Irma Gordeladze is actively involved in environmental protection activities and promotes public awareness of the issue.
Together with her followers, she protested against the extraction of inert materials from the bank of Achi River in Ozurgeti municipality. As a result of her efforts, the community united to protect the unique nature of the river bank and the extraction works have been suspended.

Launch Conference of the Legal Socialization in Moldovan Schools Program | mlsp | 2 Mar 2020


The Moldova Legal Socialization Program (MLSP) was officially launched on February 27, 2020 and aims to strengthen the rule of law, to support Moldovan communities in preventing juvenile delinquency, and develop a positive relationship between juveniles and law enforcement authorities. The event was attended by approximately 50 local school principals, teachers, and police officers from the 4 pilot regions selected for the first stage of implementation within the program (Chisinau, Straseni, Ungheni and Soroca).

During the event, representatives from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the General Police Inspectorate presented the policies, objectives and experiences in the field of legal socialization and prevention of juvenile delinquency along with their vision related to the implementation of the program.

The participants from the pilot communities were also informed about the goal, objectives, activities and expected results within the program, their role in working with young people on legal socialization activities and effective international implementation practices and lessons learned.

BLSP HAS ENSURED THE LSP CURRICULUM SUSTAINABILITY IN HERZEGOVINA-NERETVA CANTON AND ZENICA-DOBOJ CANTON | blsp | 25 Feb 2020


Convinced  that satisfactory professional capacities have been built during the three-year LSP implementation that are capable to ensure its sustainability in two pilot cantons i.e.Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and Zenica-Doboj Canton and its further expansion to schools that have not been involved in LSP activities, the BLSP Office initiated and held joint meetings with the Ministers of Education and the Ministers of Interior in these cantons to discuss that possibility.

At the meeting held on February 6, 2020 in Mostar, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton – Mr Rašid Hadžović and the Minister of the Interior of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton – Mr Slađan Bevanda expressed satisfaction with the previous cooperation and results achieved, and the program fokus on prevention. Both ministers expressed their willingness to provide all necessary support for continuation of LSP activities as well as the official decisions of competent cantonal authorities in that sense.

At a meeting held 11.02.2020.godine in Zenica, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Zenica-Doboj Canton  - Mr Spahija Kozlić and the  Minister of Interior of Zenica-Doboj Canton – Mr Dario Pekić assessed that current cooperation and results achieved in implementing LSP very successful. In an effort to continue successful cooperation in this area in the future, the ministers signed a memorandum of cooperation defining the principles of cooperation, forms of joint action and modes of using human and other capacities of both ministries in further LSP implementation and juvenile delinquency prevention.

As Nana said, her involvement in the program activities helped her in professional growth and development of her practical skills. Moreover, she has become a leading teacher.
She emphasized that civic education lessons become more interesting for her students. Civics supplemental books created within MT program helped them develop their knowledge and skills and apply this knowledge into practice.

THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ON THE LSP IMPLEMENTATION IN MIDDLE BOSNIA CANTON SIGNED | blsp | 20 Feb 2020


The memorandums of understanding on the LSP implementation were signed by competent authorities in Middle Bosnia Canton as the  third  new canton which join the LSP in 4th year of its implementation in Federation of BiH by including 17 primary and secondary schools in the program activities.

On behalf of the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth, Culture and Sports of Middle Bosnia Canton, the memorandum was signed by the Minister – Mr Bojan Domić,  on behalf of the Ministry of Interior of Middle Bosnia Canton by the Minister – Feliks Vidović and on behalf of the PH International Office in BiH by Director – Ms Nedžada Faginović.
