Youth Ambassadors Africa (2025-2027)

Nearly 100 young leaders from Africa • Ages 15–18 • Three weeks in the United States

The Youth Ambassadors Africa program brings young people and adult mentors from across Africa to the United States for an immersive exchange focused on leadership, entrepreneurship, and American society.

Over three weeks, participants traveled from New York and Vermont to Alabama and Washington, D.C., meeting American educators, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and government and nonprofit professionals. Through leadership workshops, visits to innovative organizations, exploration of American history and democratic institutions, and time with American host families and communities, participants gained firsthand insight into American life while building new skills, ideas, and friendships.

Youth Ambassadors Africa advances America First priorities by strengthening people-to-people relationships, deepening understanding of American values and institutions, and building connections that support long-term U.S. interests. Participants returned home with expanded perspectives, lasting international friendships, and practical plans for capstone projects addressing challenges in their communities—while adult mentors gained new tools to support youth leadership and community initiatives.
