Youth Ambassadors Africa (2025-2026)
PH International’s Youth Ambassadors Africa Program (YA-AF) strengthens U.S. security, prosperity, and global influence by empowering youth leaders to become active, responsible citizens both locally and globally. The program fosters mutual respect, helping to share American values, build relationships, and increase U.S. influence by bridging cultural divides and promoting peaceful coexistence. As these leaders return home, they contribute to global stability, creating international partnerships that benefit U.S. interests and enhance security, economic growth, and power.
The program builds team spirit through hands-on service learning, leadership seminars, peer collaboration, and visits to entrepreneurial ventures and innovative local organizations. A balanced mix of homestays, dorms, and hotels will offer participants varied perspectives on American life. Homestays provide firsthand exposure to U.S. values, hospitality, and community life through daily interactions with American families. Dorm stays not only foster peer connections but also offer a window into campus life and American higher education. Hotel accommodations support large group gatherings and events with local leaders—and they also offer valuable downtime for participants to bond, reflect, and relax together as a cohort.
The themes of civic education and youth leadership build participants’ self-confidence, resilience, and capacity to drive solutions to local challenges in their communities. Adult mentors will strengthen their mentoring and facilitation skills, enhancing support for youth-led initiatives. These efforts not only benefit participants’ home communities but also help ensure long-term alignment with U.S. values and interest.
