Host families make a difference

The Host Family Experience is at the core of PH’s international exchange programs. Becoming a Host Family allows you and your guest(s) to learn about one another’s countries and cultures through immersion into your family.

PH looks for host families in central/northern Vermont who generously and lovingly open their homes to youth and/or professionals for one, two or three weeks at a time. PH welcomes anyone interested in becoming a host family – young or old, married or single, with children or retired, living in the country or the city, or whether you have your own home or an apartment/condo. Your willingness to share your home, your lifestyle and your community with an international guest is what it takes to become a PH Host Family.

Volunteer Host Families support foreign participants by providing a comfortable room, nutritious meals and a warm, welcoming American family environment.
