Algeria Fencing Futures (2024-2025)

In partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Algiers, the Algerian Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Algerian Fencing Federation, this program expanded academic and athletic opportunities for aspiring Algerian fencers. Participants took part in a weeklong training camp led by U.S. university coaches and scouts, while local coaches strengthened their skills through a train-the-trainer model. The program also identified talented athletes for U.S. scholarship opportunities and connected participants with accomplished American fencers who shared their experiences in collegiate athletics and leadership. Through these partnerships, the program established a sustainable model for developing fencing talent and strengthening sports leadership in Algeria.
