The local host experience is at the heart of PH’s international exchange programs. Hosting offers a unique opportunity to learn about another country and culture through everyday life—sharing meals, conversations, and community.

PH invites local hosts in central and northern Vermont to welcome youth or professionals for one, two, or three weeks. Hosts come from all walks of life: single or partnered, young or retired, living in a house or apartment, in rural or urban communities. If you’re open to sharing your home and your community, you already have what it takes.

Local hosts provide a comfortable place to stay, nourishing meals, and a warm, welcoming home environment—creating the foundation for connection, learning, and lasting exchange.
