Sports and Art Classes in Zugdidi - GE CALLS Funded New Initiative

On October 9, 2015, GE CALLS funded project Happiness Area had a launch ceremony at Art Gallery in Zugdidi. The event was attended by representatives of local government, police, NGOs, schools and parents of the beneficiaries
The project will support personal development of children in conflict with law and/or from socially vulnerable families and promote healthy lifestyle.

Project activities include art therapy, where beneficiaries will work at ceramics studio on making pottery for the final exhibition.

Another direction is rugby – a youth team will be formed and trained by the local trainer as well as professional guest coaches/players from Georgian Rugby union.

Those two components will be interlinked by seminars and workshops on healthy lifestyle, conflict management and other problematic issues by Xenon team.

The project is implemented by Association of Young Psychologists and Doctors Xenon, supported by PH International Georgia’s GE CALLS program, funded by The US Department of State’s International Bureau of Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL).
