Civics club students from Telavi public school #5 found out that their peers in another local school (#6 school in Telavi, which is not the partner school of ACETT program) had no running water and sewerage system at school, that was causing sanitation problems in the building.
After the successful start of Legal Culture lessons in 20 schools of 4 Georgian regions, on January 31, GE CALLS invited the school principles for the training in “Social Justice and Discipline at School”
The goal of the training was to provide recommendations that will assist the schools and their disciplinary boards in the process of discussions or decision making over different disciplinary cases.
Members of the youth club founded in the framework of GE CALLS Community Initiatives Component visited MIA Police Academy.
The visit was organized in consideration of high interest from students.
The students visited teaching rooms, shooting ranges, gyms. They were hosted by Pridon Diasamidze, Deputy Rector of the Academy.
Following the youth forum, which was held in Shida Kartli region this fall, school-based civics club students initiated different activities to advocate for the road safety in Surami.
On December 30, Khashuri Youth Club members held charity event. The students collected food and clothes from population, shops and various organizations.
