Access Alumni promoted Media Literacy into Mariupol community.

Ukraine | English Access Microscholarship Program | 3 Dec 2019

Access Alumni have the opportunity to develop their soft skills and promote Media Literacy into Mariupol community. Recently we have conducted a workshop for a wide scope of participants from our city. Students discussed the meaning of media bias and were introduced to several common types of bias. During the session, some ways used to pull the wool over media consumers’ eyes were demonstrated (namely facts, photos, bots and trolls that could be exploited in manipulative ways). The workshop was aimed at equipping participants with the skills to identify biases in news and social media. We collaborated with Educational Hub that helped us to disseminate information and provide the space for the workshop. The great appreciation to all participants for their enthusiasm and eagerness, their ideas and proposals. https://www.facebook.com/elena.tanchyk.1848/posts/2481896275381542
