Pilot Program Assessed During Sum Up Meeting

On June 5, 2012 GLSP hosted a sum-up meeting for pilot program of teaching legal culture among 7th-grade students. The meeting was attended by teachers and police officers conducting the mentioned studies in 10 schools in Tbilisi and Rustavi, school principals, GLSP representatives, Lia Gigauri , program expert and Maka Peradze, the representative of Internal Affairs of Georgia. During the meeting, effectiveness and outcome of the pilot program were discussed. Participants unanimously confirmed the importance of teaching legal culture to 7th-grade students. They regard it as an optimal age for a student to realize importance of the law. Participants also discussed the problems they encountered during the course and came up with some recommendations to increase effectiveness of the program.
