From January 25-28, 2011, a training of civics education teacher trainers was conducted at the Centre for Training and Consultancy, in the framework of the Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training Program (ACETT). Memorandum of Understanding to support civic education was signed by USAID and the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia | acett | 16 Dec 2010

U.S. Ambassador to Georgia John R. Bass joined the Minister of Education and Science Dimitri Shashkin to launch U.S. Government assistance for civic education for Georgian students on December 15 at Rustavi Public School #15. The Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training (ACETT) program, implemented by PH International aims to improve the quality and scope of civic education in Georgian schools and to promote the participation of youth in Georgia’s democracy and development. The three-year program is implemented in nine regions and covers up to 500 schools.

Seminar of regional NGOs to promote civic education and democracy in Georgia | acett | 15 Oct 2010


On October 13-14 PH International, in the framework of USAID funded Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training Program (ACETT) conducted working seminar for nine regional partner NGOs. The purpose of the seminar was to discuss the partnership’s programmatic and financial procedures, and elaborate detailed action plans for the promotion of civic education in all program regions.
