Georgia | Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training (ACETT) program for Georgia | 21 Jan 2011

On January 17, 2011, a test launch of the Teacher Training Program took place at the Center for Training and Consultancy in Tbilisi, as part of the USAID-funded Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training Program, implemented by PH International. The pilot launch of the Teacher Training Program will test the new course curriculum on civic education, which aims to develop teachers’ skills in modern participatory teaching techniques, ensure educators know how to effectively use textbooks and resources, and promote applied learning. Once the training program receives accreditation, a total of 500 civics teachers throughout Georgia will be trained using the curriculum.
