Ekaterine Chemia
GE CVEO Grants Coordinator

Ekaterine Chemia has 20 years of work experience in international and development initiatives. She has experience in program and grant management in the fields of civil society, social and economic development, education, elections and renewable energy.  Ms. Chemia’s experience includes  grants management, financial and administrative management of donor funded projects, organizational development, including institutional strengthening, assessment, evaluation and monitoring of nonprofit organizations, as well as counseling, training, teaching and networking.  


Eka Chemia currently works as Admin/Sub-Grants Coordinator in Countering VEO Recruitment in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Macedonia program that is implemented with the Georgian Center for Security and Development (GCSD) in Georgia, Center for Economic and Social Development (CESD) in Azerbaijan and Moonshot CVE in UK.  Ekaterine is taking over the responsibilities of managing the sub-grants for  partner organizations  under this program.


Prior to joining PH International, Eka Chemia has worked in international organizations, such as IFES, Winrock, Mercy Corps, Counterpart, where she managed over 150 sub-award projects implemented by local NGOs in the amount of nearly 10 million dollars.  She has worked on the position of sub-awards manager with IFES during 2010-2017, where she has been in charge of 75 civic education, voter education, gender and political finance sub-award projects implemented by 50 local NGOs. 


Eka Chemia graduated with Master’s degree in Social Work from George Warren Brown School of Social Work, Washington University in St. Louis in 2005. She holds a degree in Biology from Tbilisi State University.
