Meg Harris started as PH International’s Director of Program & Fund Development in April 2015. She has over 30 years of experience in project management, fundraising, and evaluation for international education and development organizations. Previously, she worked as development coordinator and operations advisor for the Wells Mountain Initiative and Maliasili Initiatives, respectively; was executive director of The BOMA Project; and was Director of Philanthropic Partnerships and Special Projects Manager at the Salzburg Global Seminar. Prior to that she worked with ARD (now TetraTech), Partners for International Education and Training (PIET), and the Overseas Development Network.
Meg spent her formative years in Nigeria, Zambia, and Kenya and graduated from high school in Kenya. She earned a B.A. from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario and a M.A. in Adult Education, focusing in Comparative, International, and Development Education from OISE at the University of Toronto. Meg benefited from adventurous parents and has continued that tradition with her family – she loves to travel and has visited all continents but Australia and Antarctica.
Meg lives in Cornwall with her husband, Raph. Their grown daughter, Bronwyn, lives in Vancouver, BC and works in the sustainability field. In her spare time Meg enjoys playing pickleball and going on hikes with her dog; she also serves as an ex officio board member of Habitat for Humanity of Addison County.
