Video Blogging Training in the American Library and Training Center of Ijevan

On February 5-7, 2021 the American Library and Training Center of Ijevan, in cooperation with the "Media Initiatives Center" and the trainers Aren Avetisyan and Lilit Arakelyan, alumni of the Center's "I am the Media" program, organized a vlogging training for a group of young people from Ijevan and nearby villages of Tavush region of Armenia.

During this Vlogging training the participants learned how to open and manage their own YouTube channels, understood what monetization is and found out the ways to earn money through the YouTube. The practical part of the training included the work with video camera, scenario writing for the future video, shooting the video outside of the training room and making montage and editing of their video materials. The trainers also discussed with the participants the motivation factor and the importance of having the message in someone’s video.

The participants were assigned with  a follow-up task, as their applied learning component - to create and upload to their YouTube channel a video to be assessed by the trainers and PHI staff. The authors of the most promising and creative videos will have an opportunity to participate in a Training of Trainer and in the next stages of the Tavush Outreach Program will be offered a Vlogging trainer role, sharing their knowledge and skills with other people from Tavush, interested in vlogging themes.
