Online conference with USAID Representatives | 4 Mar 2015


On February 26, online conference for civics clubs students was held at Tbilisi Multimedia Education Center. Monika Gorzelanska, USAID Program Officer and Shamenna Gall, USAID Agriculture Officer were guest speakers of the conference and shared with students their own experience of volunteerism and civic participation in the US and in Poland.

Civics club leaders of Momavlis Taoba (MT) Program’s 14 partner schools in Kakheti region took part in a training dedicated to Safer Internet Day. Students learned about safe, responsible and positive use of online and digital technologies.

Training about Reproductive Health and Gender Equality was held for students from MT partner schools in Shida Kartli region. The goal of the training was to increase boys’ awareness about gender equality. Participants of the training discussed gender roles, gender-based violence, communication, sexual and reproductive health issues.

Students and civics teachers of MT program’s 14 partner schools took part in Youth Forum held in Marneuli. The Youth Forum provided students with opportunity to identify and prioritize the needs, critical for their schools and communities.

Training on advocacy for youth in Gori | 20 Feb 2015


On February 8, students from MT project’s partner schools in Shida Kartli region took part in training on advocacy.Students learned how to plan and conduct advocacy campaign and also received information about the successful precedents of advocacy efforts carried out by their peers in school-based civics clubs. Such efforts brought significant benefits to local communities.
