Students’ Campaign to Prevent Violence Against Women

Georgia | Momavlis Taoba - Civic Education Program | 28 Dec 2018

Civics Club Members of Village Tezeri Public School conducted a survey in the village to identify community attitudes regarding the violence against women.

"Despite numerous informational campaigns, the population still needs more information about the topic, as women still become victims of various forms of violence. This was confirmed by the survey conducted by students. For the prevention of violence against women in the future, it is necessary to provide students with thorough information and support their participation in the violence prevention campaigns” - said Nona Chadashvili, civics teacher after the meeting, at which students shared the results of the survey.

In addition to the survey, students prepared a brochure and disseminated it among the school and village communities, organized a contest and exhibition of paintings and posters "No to Violence against Women".
