Georgia | Momavlis Taoba - Civic Education Program | 26 Dec 2018

School-based civics club students of village Gombori public school conducted survey to identify the level of interest of reading among the peers. They found out that many students don’t read books.

“There is unfunctional library in the village. We decided to enrich the school library and applied to the representatives of Sagarejo municipality and municipal union of libraries. As a result of our initiative school library received 3500 books” - said civics club member Khatia Khumarashvili.

In order to create a better environment in the library, students renewed the book wardrobes, tables and brought chairs. To promote reading, the readers' club was established at school and the members plan to publish a manuscript magazine.
