Webinar on Road Safety, one of the Major Problems Identified by Local Police in Adjara

Live webinar „Road Safety begins with us“ was organized for ACPI Program school students within the municipal projects. Road safety was one of the major problems identified by the local police in Adjara and therefore it was decided that raising awareness in youth on this issue was important. There were two speakers, representative from the NGO presenting the road safety rules and the police officer talking about the legal regulations. 

Eka Laliashvili, Chairman of the Board of the Georgian Alliance for Safe Roads, was one of the guest speakers, who with practical examples and videos discussed the topics such as pedestrian and passenger safety rules including during COVID-19 period, driver's responsibilities on bicycles, scooters, cars and more. 

Another speaker of the webinar was Rusudan Abashidze, Inspector-Investigator of Khelvachauri Division, Police major with 23 years of experience. She spoke about the legal regulations related to road safety. After the presentations, students had many questions and the guests had very interesting discussion around them. 

The webinar was moderated by ACPI Program Manager Tinatin Ebanoidze and Program Coordinator Tea Mkheidze.
