A New Manual for Students on Legal Culture has been developed by ACPI

Georgia | Adjara Community Policing Initiative | 31 Mar 2020

A New Manual on Legal Culture for Students has been developed by ACPI program. The manual gives practical information on legal responsibilities, rights and regulations in a simple language with visual aids and good design. All of these makes the book more attractive for students to read and get familiar with legal issues. The manual consists of two parts, where part 1 contains 4 topics: Children's Rights, Tolerance, Conflict Management, Bad habits and healthy lifestyle. Part 2 is coming soon.

The 1st part of the manual is accessible online for public through this link: https://el.ge/articles/534295 . Once the state emergency due to Covid 19 is over, it is planned to print the book and deliver it to all 32 schools of Adjara Region which are involved in ACPI Program.

Within the program there is also teachers and police manual on the same topics, based on which civics teachers and police officers together deliver Legal Culture Lessons for 9th and 10th graders in 32 schools in 5 municipalities of Adjara Region.

ACPI program aims to raise students awareness of legal issues, increase their security and wellness through community policing (COP) initiatives and active collaboration of police, school and local community.
