Civics students of village Sagholasheni public school decided to increase their peers' awareness about violence. An anonymous survey was conducted among the school students to determine what they know about violence. The students met with a representative of the Public Defender office in Shida Kartli, law enforcement and psychologist and talked with them about the types, forms of violence and the ways of its prevention, whom should they apply in case of violence and how to use the hotline. Within the initiative, a competition of drawings, slogans, and wall newspapers was organized and the best works were exhibited at school; Presentation of the thematic film and discussion was held and information leaflets were developed and disseminated in the community. The students also performed a forum theater, role-playing games and the flash mob on violence. "Despite the existing information, we still find cases of violence both at school and in the community. Though violence is always condemned in TV programs or social media, unfortunately, public attitudes do not change much. That's why our project is really important. The students received information about all forms of violence and their protest against violence became more solid. I am sure that these people will never become abusers" -said Maya Titvinidze, civics teacher of the village Sagholasheni public school.
