School based civics clubs students organized a bicycle marathon in Batumi Boulevard. The Marathon was dedicated to the World Health Day and aimed at increasing public awareness of disease control and timely diagnosis.
In order to support the initiative, Batumi City Hall Road Regulation Department provided 25 bicycles for the event. The participants of the Marathon covered 3 kilometers and then moved to the central streets to disseminate informational brochures and promote regular health check-ups.
The Marathon was organized by the school-based civic clubs of village Khala, Village Tsinsvla and city Batumi public school #29 .
