Civics club members of village Benari public school in Adigeni municipality decided to improve ecological conditions in 5 villages along the river Otskhe gorge.
In the framework of the initiative, meeting with representatives of the community, local government, media and environmental protection representatives was organized. Club members organized photo exhibition to demonstrate exciting situation, cleaned the nearby territory of the river Otskhe, prepared informational brochures and distributed among the population. The banner calling to protect the environment was placed on Adigeni - Abastumani crossroad.
Civics club members approached Adigeni City Hall for the request to place additional garbage cans in specific locations, which will contribute replacement of existing man-made landfills.
