Since 2005, PH International has performed all field operations for the Community Connections Program in Ukraine.
Community Connections is a five-year program funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), designed to promote public diplomacy among international participants, American families and U.S. host organizations through three-to-five week cultural and professional programs.
Each year, 100 Ukrainians travel to the U.S. as participants. Program themes typically highlight topics in social service sectors such as nonprofit development, gender, health and youth issues, poverty alleviation, human rights, environmental concerns and preservation of cultural heritage. Community Connections programs bring together teams of experts in specific fields who cooperate to achieve professional success, build capacity and strengthen ties within their communities.

The Information Dissemination and Equal Access (IDEA) Project is the result of a partnership between PH International and the Microsoft Unlimited Potential Program. IDEA creates and supports community-based Internet centers which provide residents with free technology training and access to computers. These aptly named IDEA Centers increase the quality of education and the level of social and cultural development in the communities where they operate. IDEA also works to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged groups by supplying specialized computer software and training aimed at expanding their educational, employment, and community-building opportunities.
All seven centers opened in February 2008 in Ukraine with the creation of IDEA Centers in seven cities: Kherson, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Donetsk, Simferopol, Chernivtsi, and Cherkasy.
