Staff:
Country: Ukraine
Dates: 01.02.2008 - 31.12.2012
Web Site: http://www.idea-ukraine.org
The Information Dissemination and Equal Access (IDEA) Project is the result of a partnership between PH International and the Microsoft Unlimited Potential Program. IDEA creates and supports community-based Internet centers which provide residents with free technology training and access to computers. These aptly named IDEA Centers increase the quality of education and the level of social and cultural development in the communities where they operate. IDEA also works to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged groups by supplying specialized computer software and training aimed at expanding their educational, employment, and community-building opportunities.

All seven centers opened in February 2008 in Ukraine with the creation of IDEA Centers in seven cities: Kherson, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Donetsk, Simferopol, Chernivtsi, and Cherkasy.
Currently 70999 people have received training at IDEA computer courses and seminars, including 11875 participants of 1203 Microsoft Unlimited Potential courses and 9144 participants of 216 Onlandia courses.

After the graduation from my university, I could not find a job as my specialty, political sciences is quite rare. That is why I came to attend courses offered by the IDEA - Luhansk Center where I learned how to use computer confidently. During a training dedicated to work with Internet job portals, via the rabota.ua web-site, I found a job of a dispatcher consultant in the Administrative Services Center of Luhansk City Council.
