School children of Kostopil study programing | idea | 22 Feb 2016

On February 22, 2016 students Kostopilsky school # 4 took part in the training by the Kodu program. During the training, they were able to make sure that the programming can be easy for everyone regardless of age. Under the guidance of trainers Rivne IDEA Educational Center and IDEA Project Powered Microsoft YouthSpark boys and girls learned to program by means of a simple "blocks". All participants successfully coped with the coding tasks.

Basics of Work with Digital Multimedia Data | idea | 18 Feb 2016

On February 18, 2016, IDEA Center of NGO "Volunteer" held a training "Basics of Work with Digital Multimedia Data" for students of the Institute of Human, under Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University. During the training session, ways of editing multimedia data were discussed and demonstrated while using a variety of digital processing tools. Also during the session participants learned how to use the Microsoft Windows Movie Maker program to record video and audio on a computer.

Training for demobilized military servicemen "How to be successful in the labor market thanks to new IT" | idea | 11 Feb 2016

In a close cooperation with the Volyn Oblast Employment Service, trainers of IDEA Project Powered by Microsoft YouthSpark help spreading knowledge in the field of information technology and master computer literacy of those community members in the region who want to be competitive in the labor market and build a successful career. In the framework of the project, IDEA training center of NGO Volynski Perspectyve developed a training program for former military personnel returning from the anti-terrorist operation in at the East of Ukraine. Within the training program, a series of informational seminars was conducted on the topic "How to be successful in the labor market thanks to new IT". On February 11, 2016, one of these events took place at the Shatsk District Employment Center.

‘Microsoft Information Technologies to Help Teachers. Kodu, Visual Programing Language' | idea | 2 Feb 2016

On January 28, 2016, trainers of NGO ‘Parostok’ (Sprout) in Vinnitsa conducted a training on the topic ‘Microsoft Information Technologies to Help Teachers. Kodu, Visual Programing Language’ for 22 students of Vinnytsia Pedagogical University. The training was held within IDEA Project Powered by Microsoft YouthSpark. During the training, participants discussed such issues as how to effectively apply the course material, how to improve IT learning through Kodu, and how to implement visual programming language in educational practices. During the event, participants learned to create simple 3D games while using Kodu.

"Hour of Code" at Kunyn general education school | idea | 10 Dec 2015


On December 10, students of Kunyn school participated in the "Hour of Code" class. During the class, they successfully coped with all coding tasks. Under the guidance of Mykola Myronets, one of trainers of IDEA Training Center in Rivne participating in IDEA Project Powered by Microsoft YouthSpark, by composing simple "blocks", boys and girls learned how to program. The coding class helped the students to try their hand at programming. During a fascinating game, students did not even notice that they successfully learned how to encode.

Brain-Storming Discussion "Safe Behavior in the Internet" | idea | 27 Nov 2015


During the “brain-storming” discussion, students of Kiev higher vocational school of sewing and hairdressing had an opportunity to demonstrate and improve their knowledge about the factors influencing the risk behaviors of adolescents in real and virtual life. The participants discussed characteristics of the formation of their safe behavior while interacting in social networks, dissemination of information in the Internet, and how one should safely search for and use the information contained in the Internet network. Teens also proposed rules of safe behavior in the Internet.

On September 12, 2015, Coordinator of the IDEA Training Center, which operates as a subsidiary of the NGO "Volyn Perspectives", took part in the conference of socially active students, members of the international youth organization AIESEC in Lutsk. During a session conducted by the IDEA Coordinator Nataliya Lytvyna, the participants discussed the possibility of using new information technologies to build public speaches, got familiar with TED-performances that can be found at many channels on the Internet and used to improve one’s skills, and worked on tips for speakers-beginners .

Presentation of games in KODU GAME LAB for junior school students | idea | 31 Aug 2015

Presentation of games in KODU GAME LAB for primary school children was held in Tokmak city children's library by IDEA Center operated by NGO 'Instutute of Public Development 'Ortega-y-Gasset'.
Children got familiar with games created by participants of the training course "KODU GAME LAB: visual and object-oriented programming." They were very interested in learning how they can create their own games, and carefully listened to the trainer who told them about KODU tools and their possibilities. After the presentation of the trainer, children were excited to try to create landscape for their future games.

Training "Steps to Successful Employment" for members of non-governmental organizations | idea | 19 Aug 2015



On August 19, 2015, trainers of NGO "Parostok" conducted a training "Steps to Successful Employment" for 15 members of non-governmental organizations. The training was carried out within IDEA Project Powered by Microsoft YouthSpark.

During the training, such issues were discussed with participants as ways of job search, using new Internet technilogies during job search, resume and cover letter writing, communication with a potentiall employer during job interview, and self-presentation skills.
