Students Fundraising and Advocacy Action Enables for a Healthy Environment in the School

Damaged water and sewerage system at the school caused sanitation problems in the building for years. Students cooperated successfully with governmental and non-governmental organizations to get more funding for the project. Gamgebeli of Chkhorotskhu municipality transferred 1500 GEL to the school account for rehabilitation of running water and sewerage system. Head of the Liberty Bank Chkhorotskhu Branch contributed 500 GEL for purchasing necessary equipment. Kirtskhi #1 public school’s administration also supported students’ initiative and funded rehabilitation works at the school.

Students of Kirtskhi public school #1 of Chkhorotskhu municipality decided to improve running water and sewerage system at school.

As a result of students’ initiative, Kirtskhi School will have a rehabilitated infrastructure and improved sanitation from the beginning of a new academic year.
The mini-grant project was conducted in the framework of USAID-funded “Momavlis Taoba” project, which is implemented by PH International.
