The programming courses that IT for Youth project offers to its young participants allowed the senior school students from Astrakhan to create their first software application and make a step forward on their way to an IT career.

Programming is one of the most valuable skills you can pick up in these modern times, whether for career prospects or to stretch your brain and create something awesome. The programming courses that IT for Youth project offers to its young participants allowed the senior school students from Astrakhan to create their first software application and make a step forward on their way to an IT career.

Inspired by training in the IT for Youth project center and using the acquired skills, the youngsters created an application in the C # programming language using Microsoft Visual Studio. The software application with a very complicated name makes it possible to use the digital picture of an object for automatic calculation of its area.

The application can be used to solve practical decision problems in large scale systems and therefore the jury highly evaluated the project and announced it as the winner in the regional competition organized by the local Academy of Sciences. Later on, the application was successfully presented during at the regional school IT conference.

Thus, the secondary school students have been recognized by the IT expert community and filled up their portfolio. This will give them an advantage when entering a college or applying for a job and no doubt that their project has a great future in the IT field.
