Clean ravine and improved bridge in the village Chobiskhevi

Georgia | Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training (ACETT) program for Georgia | 28 Jan 2014

Village Chobiskhevi

Success
Students interviewed community members in the village Chobiskhevi to find out the needs of the village. Once the results of the research were prioritized, students met with the local Government to discuss the possible ways for the solution of identified problems.

Overview
Local authorities promised the students to respond to the discussed needs and took action to resolve local problems, such as: arrangement of the bridge railing and cleaning and fencing of the ravine. The change became possible following the mini-grant project by students which included trainings of young people on the topic of cooperation with local Government. The project was carried out in the framework of the Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training Program (ACETT), which is implemented by PH International in Georgia.
