15.04.2016 | prjss_elce | Success Stories in Samtskhe-Javakhakheti Region of Georgia - English Language Through Civic Education
INTEGRATION ACTIVITIES IN MINORITY REGIONS: 14 Armenian speaking and 5 Georgian speaking teachers attended 10 Workshops between September and April 2015-2016. English Language methodology and topics on elections, political systems, occupations, multiculturalism etc. were discussed and lesson plans were made in the mountain town in Akhaltsike, Georgia. This opportunity gave teachers to share each other's cultural traditions, knowledge of methodology and educational resources in the common language of English.

01.03.2016 | prjss_it for youth | Youngsters from the remote villages of the Kaliningrad region took a small step toward their future by participating in Hour of Code 2015.
For the second year in a row, the IT for Youth project training center in Kaliningrad had great success when participating in the Hour of Code campaign. This year the center has expanded the initiative to reach Russian youths in remote areas and inspire them to learn basics of Computer Science and coding.

24.02.2016 | idea | Thanks to the project, managed to find a job!
Khrystyna (24 years) attended trainings at the IDEA Training Center of NGO "Ternopil Oblast Branch of the Association of Labor Unions of Youth" and received several individual consultations on job search. By education, Khrystyna is a psychologist, and she tried to find a work in Ternopil at her specialty for quite a while. Unfortunately, there was no vacancies in this area, so she decided to try herself in another activity. Thanks to knowledge gained at IDEA training and consultations, she successfully passed the interview at the employer - a furniture store owner, and she was accepted for internship.

24.02.2016 | idea | IDEA Center helped to become a freelancer and trainer
Vasyl Fedynchuk (24) of Ivano-Frankivsk, in 2014-2015, studied at the IDEA Center of NGO Business Aword Foundation. Specifically, Vasyl was trained in courses such as ‘The Cloud Technologies and Backup Copying’, ‘Basics of Work with Web-sites’, and ‘Programing Fundamentals’. Vasyl also took a seminar ‘OS Windows Security’ conducted by Microsoft trainers online. Thanks to the training and other assistance from the IDEA Center, Vasyl was able to become an IT freelancer. In addition, Vasily got actively involved in training of other visitors of the IDEA Center of NGO Business Aword Foundation – now he delivers workshops on coding.

05.02.2016 | prjss_it for youth | Senior School Students from Astrakhan created their first software application.
Programming is one of the most valuable skills you can pick up in these modern times, whether for career prospects or to stretch your brain and create something awesome. The programming courses that IT for Youth project offers to its young participants allowed the senior school students from Astrakhan to create their first software application and make a step forward on their way to an IT career.
