On November 18, Senior English Language Fellow, Erik Lundell had the privilege of teaching 11 Access students in Kursk, Russia. These promising individuals participated in a game involving U.S. maps.

Samara Access Students Participate in a Charity Event | 17 Nov 2011


On November 17th, Samara Access school participated in a charity concert to help disabled children. The concert was organized by a charity center “Radost” and took place in the biggest concert hall in Samara. City administration also joined the event and gave presents to kids represented different cities. Access students sang the song "We are the world" that was very well received.

Kazan Access Greets Consular Officers | 13 Oct 2011


On October 11-13, 2011 representatives of the consular section of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow visited Kazan Access school. Access students were very enthusiastic to meet native speakers and discuss various aspects of American culture and education, life of teenagers in the USA and student exchange programs. They told American guests about their program and accomplishments, played games and sang songs.

Russia Access Joins “Teach the World Online” Project | 11 Oct 2011


Karl Purnell, a representative of Teach the World Online (TWOL) NGO, visited two Access sites, Samara and Elista on September 22-October 1, 2011, and worked with teachers and students there to set up a program of Skype sessions to be led by American undergraduate students in October-December and with a focus on American culture and language.
