Access Students in Kursk, Russia, Learn about U.S. Geography with Senior English Language Fellow

Russia | English Access Microscholarship Program | 18 Nov 2011

On November 18, Senior English Language Fellow, Erik Lundell had the privilege of teaching 11 Access students in Kursk, Russia. These promising individuals participated in a game involving U.S. maps. They also learned facts about the history, culture and geography of the American Southwest from a Power Point Presentation given by the Fellow. The event concluded with a question and answer session whereby both Mr. Lundell and the students learned about each other’s countries, interests and experiences. The result was heightened awareness of cultural similarities and differences between Russia and the United States of America.
