The group of Russian specialists undergoes training in the United States

The group of ten participants from the Russian private sector, academia, and the government are in the United States now exposing to US methods for supporting small businesses, especially in the high tech sector and US policy on innovation. This is accomplished through visits, industrial tours, meetings with venture capitalists and innovative small businesses, as well as SME policy makers. The program's objectives are to enable the participants to observe how local environments are shaped in the US, through venture capital, universities, and government policy, to support innovative small businesses engaged in science and technology. Upon their return to Russia the participants will adapt successful approaches and techniques as well as maintain and further develop connections between themselves and US counterparts.

  • Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)
  • S&T Parks
  • University-affiliated business incubators
  • Bayh-Dole Act (University and Small Business Patent Procedures Act)
  • National Institutes for Standards & Technology TIP Program
The group also takes part in the Science and Technology Conference run by Gordon Research Conferences.
