The group of ten participants from the Russian private sector, academia, and the government are in the United States now exposing to US methods for supporting small businesses, especially in the high tech sector and US policy on innovation. This is accomplished through visits, industrial tours, meetings with venture capitalists and innovative small businesses, as well as SME policy makers. The program's objectives are to enable the participants to observe how local environments are shaped in the US, through venture capital, universities, and government policy, to support innovative small businesses engaged in science and technology.
