A final Youth Camp, held April 3-9, 2013 in Bakuriani, Georgia, served as the culmination of the Peer Legal Education Clubs component of PH's highly successful Georgia Legal Socialization Program.
On March 16, Peer Clubs of Legal Education of Samtredia Public Schools #10 and #11organized presentation of Clubs’ projects and activities at Samtredia municipal center.
On March 15, by joint effort of Legal Clubs a peaceful demonstration was organized. Starting at Samtredia Public School #11, demonstration moved to Samtredia Central Park.
Georgia Legal Socialization Program greeted 2013 with new pilot project. In the framework of the project the legal culture lessons for 7th grade students will be conducted jointly by teachers and School Resource Officers.
On January 15-17 GLSP organized midterm workshop for Legal Clubs’ Mentors. The aim of the workshop was debriefing the performed work, analyzing lessons learned and outlining the strategy of future operation of the Clubs.
On September 25, Derek Miodownik, GLSP foreign expert, held a seminar Introduction to Restorative Justice at Tbilisi State University. The seminar aimed at raising awareness on crucial details of restorative justice that are unique characteristics of that particular sphere.
On September 18, 2012, GLSP hosted a team of professionals from the US in the framework of Georgia-based exchange which aimed at sharing existing practices and experiences on the juvenile justice in the US.
On June 6, 2012, GLSP hosted representatives of Armenian Legal Socialization Program ZANG.
On June 7, Tinatin Ebanoidze, GLSP Program Manager and Nino Gogoladze, Program Coordinator made a presentation about components and activities of the program for the guests at hotel Varazi. The presentation embraced the GLSP and was followed by Q&A session.
