Legal Clubs Performance Evaluated During Mentors Midterm Meeting

On January 15-17 GLSP organized midterm workshop for Legal Clubs’ Mentors. The aim of the workshop was debriefing the performed work, analyzing lessons learned and outlining the strategy of future operation of the Clubs. During the sessions the mentors shared their experiences and problems accumulated during the first cycle of clubs’ operation. The achievements of the clubs’ work included raised awareness on legal issues among students, involvement of male students in the clubs’ activities, raised self-confidence and analytical skills of the students etc. Besides, the mentors underlined their own positive outcomes, namely the experience of working with students on legal issues that helped them think and analyze more, and made them become law-abiding citizens alongside with the clubs’ members. The mentors unanimously admitted that the clubs’ work raised them as professionals thus creating a human capital. Numbers of problems were also stated and contemplated among participants. Recommendations have been drawn up to help the mentors overcome the mentioned problems in the future.
