On April 5, 2006, the IDEA Project was launched in the Internet Center of the Vladimir Oblast Research Library with the assistance of the local Society for the Disabled. The project gave the disabled an excellent opportunity to acquire basic computer and web research skills and thus increase their competence and competitive ability on the labor market. Among the trainees there were middle-aged people as well as some senior citizens. For the latter the course was, probably, the only opportunity to discover the world of contemporary technologies and the Internet. | |
